Jim Bonnar, the father of Betty, died on January 16, 2000. He had a full life for his ninety plus years. During his medical career he delivered an estimated 3,500 babies. In his middle years he spent his free time at sea in quest of the elusive striped bass. For thirty years he organized the family clambakes, our annual celebration of our "Bonnarness" He will be missed but also remembered for his honesty, love of the sea, gardening, and his compassion for others.
