On October 29, 1998 Craig watched the launch of the Discovery Space Shuttle Discovery with its famous passenger, John Glenn. Craig experienced the spectacular launch from the Banana River VIP viewing area located about three miles from Launch Pad 39-B at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. He was the guest of SPACEHAB where his niece Kimberly is Manager of Marketing. Aboard the shuttle orbiter was the Spacehab Research Module for scientific experiments. In the photo above Craig is at the Apollo/Saturn V Center at the Banana River launch viewing site. In the photo below Craig is standing at the viewing site with Launch Pad 39-B in the center background.
